Privacy & Security Policy for Incomash

This Privacy & Security Policy (hereinafter referred to as ‘Policy’) governs the collection, use, disclosure, and transfer of your information by our mobile application ‘Incomash’ (hereinafter also referred to as ‘App’), our website i.e. www.incomash.com (‘Website’), or any other services, including the analysis of expenses and bills based on SMS and related content (collectively the “Incomash App Service”), made available to you by INCOMASH SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED. hereinafter called ‘Company.’

As we update, improve, and expand the Incomash App Service, this policy may change, so please refer to it periodically. By accessing the website, App, or otherwise using the Incomash App Services, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of the personal information you provide (including any changes thereto as provided by you) for any of the services that we offer.

This policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use.

The Company respects the privacy of the users of the Incomash App Services and is committed to reasonably protect it in all respects. The information about the user as collected by the Company is: (a) information supplied by users and (b) information automatically tracked while using a mobile device having Incomash App Services enabled (collectively referred to as Information).

INFORMATION COLLECTED

To avail certain services on the Incomash App, users are required to provide access to their phone’s SMS inbox records,, device ID, email address is required. The Information, as supplied by the users, enables us to improve the Incomash App and provide you with the best app experience. All required information is service-dependent, and the Company may use the above-said user Information to maintain, protect, and improve the Incomash App Services and for developing new services.

Personal Information:

Incomash may ask for an email address from users to enable some of the features such as the web app, but providing the email address is optional for the users. Apart from this, Incomash does not explicitly ask for any kind of personally identifiable information such as Name, Contacts, or Phone number, etc., at the time of installation. However, such information could be made available to us either (1) explicitly by you for the purpose of contacting the company or (2) in the process of using third-party services such as Google Drive for backup and/or Google Play Store for subscription payment. Such information may also be present in SMS sender name or SMS text, but Incomash does not extract this information to create your profile. Any personally identifiable information made available to the App will not be considered as sensitive if it is freely available and/or accessible in the public domain. Further, any reviews, comments, messages, blogs posted/uploaded/conveyed/communicated by users on the public sections of the Site or an Application Store (like the App Store or Play Store) becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy. We will not be liable and or responsible for the denial of certain services to you for lack of you providing the necessary personal information. Further, if personal contact information is made available to the company, we may contact you from time to time about any topic that we believe may benefit/interest you.

SMS Inbox Information:

For the purpose of providing an automated expense tracking service, the App reads the text messages (SMS) sent by providers of services and/or products, including but not limited to Credit or Debit Card Issuing Institutes, Banks, mobile carriers, utility companies & retail outlets. No personal SMS are read by the App. Your explicit consent is taken before reading SMS Inbox of the mobile device at the time of installing the App. SMSes are also used to train our engine to improve the App services. The collection of such information is only limited to the extent that such data is available in the relevant messages. Incomash may also record the identity of the product or service and the price or fee paid or payable in respect thereof.

Other Information:

In addition, the Application may collect (either directly or through third party integrated services such as Google Analytics, Facebook Android SDK, etc.) certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the mobile device model, device name, device’s serial number or unique identification number (e.g. Android ID or ADID on your Android Device), device operating system & version, etc., and information about the way you use the Application. This information is only used to improve the Application & the service.

PRIVATE MODE

The App provides a flagship feature called ‘Private Mode’ in the settings section to give an enhanced degree of control over your personal data. If the private mode is turned ON, the App prevents any SMS text or Transaction information from going outside of the mobile device. Only the sender name and merchant information are transmitted occasionally to parse any new unprocessed messages or categorize new merchants.

Your app experience will be at par while in Private Mode. However, if any one of your banks/service providers changes the SMS format, it may not get processed until you share a sample SMS with us, or we receive a similar SMS from another user.

USER RIGHTS FOR DENIAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users may choose to deny SMS permission, and the use of a third-party backup service. Each of these actions would impact some functionality of the App, but it will continue to perform other functions as per the terms of active free trial or paid subscription.

Users may at any time stop the collection of information by the Application by uninstalling the App. Users may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of the mobile device or via the mobile application or network.

PURPOSE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION

This information can be used by us to maintain, protect and improve the services provided by the company or for developing new services. You also consent to the information obtained to be used to contact you for administrative purposes such as customer service, notification of major changes and updates, etc. Incomash may also use the information related to user spends, patterns, and user data to generate anonymized and aggregated statistics & reserves the right to this statistical data.

You agree and acknowledge that we may share data where we are required by law, any court, a government agency, or authority to disclose such information. Such disclosures are made in good faith and belief that it is reasonably necessary to do so for enforcing this Policy or the Terms, or in order to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

ACCESS AND UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You hereby warrant that all personal data that you provide us with is accurate, up-to-date, and true. When you use our Services, we make best efforts to provide you with the ability to review and correct inaccurate or deficient data, subject to any legal requirements. We shall verify the accuracy of the new personal data you provided to us.

DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate security measures and access controls to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, and follow technology standards prescribed by applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011

CHANGE IN PRIVACY POLICY

We keep our Policy under regular review and may amend it from time to time, at our sole discretion. The terms of this Policy may change and if it does, these changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.
